Mama’s Disapproval- That One Guy

So I once had to deal with this guy who was super annoying. You might remember him if you’ve heard my story about my day with Raven. Not only did he nearly turn off the barrier that keeps our super arch nemesis out of the city (I can’t give you the details on him though, it’s top secret), but he got in my way when I was trying to hang out with Raven. He seemed kinda wack not gonna lie, I mean, who refuses to leave after a superhero AND a villain agree that you shouldn’t mess with something? And when he got in my way as I was going to talk with Raven? Annoying.

Now that I think about it, it’s probably a good thing that I called the police on him. He did mention that he included a piranha in a dish or something? Idk but that’s pretty rude if he knew the person he was giving it to was allergic to fish. Anyway, I just had to rant because I’m pretty sure y’all have something that really annoys you in life. Hopefully I never have to deal with someone like him ever again.

Mama’s Disapproval- How she Became My Arch Nemesis

Do y’all remember that story I told a while back about Raven and her dragon mama? I don’t think I really mentioned my opinion on Mama, but I may as well tell you guys my history with her. Mama is the big red dragon who caused most of the trouble in the city, and she also happens to be Raven’s mother. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of Mama because it seems that she enjoys going out of her way to attack the city on a daily basis… which means I don’t get to relax all that much, at least not like I used to when I was five. But now that Raven and I seem to have a thing, I guess I’m going to have to get into her good graces one way or another.

I remember when I first met Mama. It was a cloudy day and the city was going about its business as usual, but just after lunchtime was when the trouble started. A loud roar had bounced off of the buildings, so I went to investigate. Mama was ANGRY, like so angry that she was trying to set the whole city on fire. I had never dealt with a dragon before, but I remembered all of the stories about knights fighting dragons that my dad used to read to me. Let me tell you, I learned real quick that dragons were not fans of swords being swung around. It took some work, but I finally got her to leave the city after being annoying for about two and half hours.

Over time, Mama has become one of my most common (and favorite, but don’t tell her that) villain’s to deal with. She’s not extremely dangerous nor all that scary anymore, and some days I can simply give her something shiny in exchange for leaving the city alone. Who knows, maybe she already likes me a little bit!

My 1st Time… being evil

Let me tell you about my first evil experience as a villain… it all started when I noticed a happy family living in a home. This family was so chipper. They were always unbearably happy whenever I flew by and it started to drive me nuts.

I decided that I needed to devise a plan to take them down as a unit somehow. I spent many nights brainstorming what I could do that would ruin their lives forever. Finally, one night I came up with the perfect plan.

They lived in a wooden home and were constantly proud and showing off their establishment. I devised a plan to slowly release termites into their home. These termites would then slowly nibble away at their home. You might be thinking… Gayle, you are a dragon… you could just simply burn down the house with your fiery breath. You’re not wrong, but see the key to being evil is to really ruin their lives. Burning their house down would be too quick and they could potentially have insurance refund it or help rebuild their house. I used termites because they would destroy their house slowly and without alerting the family of any damage.

I eventually released enough termites that their house was completely destroyed. They returned to their establishment only to find that their home did not exist anymore. I hid in some clouds and watched as they mourned what was left of their perfect wooden home. I flew home laughing maliciously and feeling extremely satisfied.

Raising Raven

Now full disclaimer, I love Raven but… she was a happy accident. It all started when I was in my twenties. I was in my prime and living the single life but deep down I truly wanted to find love. So I started signing up for dating apps such as Tinder. I matched with a couple different people but nothing really ever came of it until I swiped right on a human named Jon. We went out for food and we just seemed compatible. We dated for a year and were very serious. One day I went to the doctor’s and I found out that I was pregnant.

I told Jon the good news but sadly, it was not good news to Jon. He freaked out and began packing his things. He left without saying another word and never reached out again. I was scared and alone; left to raise this child by myself. How devastating.

It wasn’t until Raven was born would I realize how much of a blessing being a single mom truly was. Without Jon in the picture, I could raise Raven to become the strongest woman in the world. Not to mention, I could raise her with my evil values.

Raising Raven made me realize that I found love. By raising her, I realized that true love doesn’t have to come from a romantic relationship but rather can come from the love of a daughter.

Why is Mama a Villain?

You know… I wasn’t always like this. I used to be like Raven… young and crushing on the town’s hero. When I was about eleven years old, there was this boy who caught my eye. His name was Theodore. He was charming and brave. Everyone in the town liked him… including me. He would always defend the town and protect the citizens from danger. He was a very popular guy in town. We both went to the same school but I wasn’t nearly as popular as him. Honestly I only had a few close friends whereas he had the whole town on his side.

It was the week of the middle school dance and everyone was asking out their crushes to be their date to the dance. As expected, all of the popular girls were asking Theodore to be their date, however, he had not accepted any offers. My friends were insisting that I ask him. They convinced me that the reason he hasn’t said yes was because he was waiting for me to ask him out. I got all excited and decided to stay up late making a cute poster to ask him with.

The next morning I wore my best outfit and even put on some perfume that I stole from my mom. I got to school and went to my friends for a pep talk because I was starting to get cold feet. They convinced me for the second time and I approached Theodore. He was at his locker. I went ahead and unrolled my poster asking him to the dance. He stared at it, then back at me, then back at it and then quickly burst out laughing. He said and I quote “why would I ever go to the dance with you? You’re ugly.” I ran out of the school and flew home crying.

From that day forward I vowed to never let a hero humiliate me like that again. Matter of fact, I vowed to embody all that Theodore hated. I wanted revenge on the whole city. I wanted to be the one in power, so that is why I became a villain.

Mama’s perspective

There’s this hero… a kid hero who spends his days helping the city. His name is Argus. I hate Argus. Who in their right mind would volunteer their personal free time to HELP the city? Everyday I work hard to make sure the city is in shambles and that the citizens are well terrified…but yet here he is undoing all that I’ve done. He makes the people feel welcome and even worse, SAFE. The thought of the citizens being safe really got me down in the dumps; for a couple of weeks, I didn’t even want to get out of bed to go do the thing I love – scaring the city.

Of course during these two weeks something atrocious happened. My sweet precious Raven started mingling with that horrible boy, Argus. Raven was on the right path before she met him. She was just like her Mother, making sure the city was scared out of their minds and  was a truly evil little girl, however, she started to change around him. Argus was a bad influence on her. The day I really snapped was when I witnessed them work together to take down a mutual enemy. But that wasn’t even the worst part, the worst was after they defeated said enemy they went and got ice cream together! No enemies would simply sit down and have ice cream together — that’s being wayyy too civil. I just had to intervene. I swooped down to defend her but she told me not to worry. I will be having a stern talk with Raven once home.

The Symbol

I sank to the ground and grabbed Pink close. I had to explain everything to her but I didn’t have enough time. I gave her the paper that contained the sacred symbol on it. I explained to her how this symbol holds the key to immortality and that she could use it to resurrect me. “Mother, I don’t know what youre talking about!” she exclaimed. “I know. But you will. Find the meaning of the symbol and you will find me” I told her.  I started to feel unbearably cold and my vision started getting blurry. As I took my final breaths, Pink used a nearby swiffer sweeper to clean up my blood and she dragged me into a nearby trash can. My final thought was “dang, Swiffer gives cleaning a whole new meaning”. Then I felt the darkness welcome me.

The Brawl

We found a hotdog cart and were very excited. We had been walking a lot and building up our appetite even more. When I saw the menu my heart sank. Two dollars for one hotdog?!?! What a ridiculous request! I threatened to destroy the workers entire bloodline but he wouldn’t budge. I suggested to the girls that we should just kill each other for it. They both thought that it was a reasonable thing to do and were on board.

We waited until noon (so that the sun wouldn’t be on either side of us) then it began. There was a lot of blood and hair being ripped out. Ya know, the usual. In the midst of it all, I remembered the need to tell Pink. This couldn’t wait. I grabbed her arm and told her “Pink… I have something to tell you. Something really important. I am your mother” She began to tear up and seemed as if she was about to say something when I realized something. Where did Klimidya go? Just then I felt a sharp pain in my back as she sunk her blade into my flesh. It didn’t hurt that much. I was mainly disappointed that I wasn’t able to eat the hotdog.

Finance Problems

So at the park, Pink, Klimidya and I were having a decent enough time. Everyone agreed that we were pretty hungry so we pooled all of our money together and came up with $1.75. They were kinda mad that I had only chipped in 25 cents but I fought my case and explained to them that if they don’t stop worrying about it I would destroy all of humanity. I also told them a story about how I had been robbed last week and they felt bad for me (that works every time).

The Plan

I had been waiting to tell Pink the truth for a long time now. So long that I can hardly remember when I wanted to tell her. Its just that Im already so close to her and I feel that if I told her she would be angry that I’ve been holding out for so long. Im not sure what to do but I need to do it soon. Maybe while I’m at the park today would be a good time even though Klimidya will be there too. I have to tell her then no matter what. She needs to know who her real mother is and I can’t keep pushing it back. Nothing will stop me from telling her. NOTHING. Although I am pretty hungry so maybe ill grab some food first.
